The reality of Kavanaugh stops: American citizens dragged, tackled, beaten, tased, and shot by immigration agents. Citizens held in the rain while in their underwear. A pregnant citizen's door blown off while Kristi Noem watched. Important story by @nicolefoy.bsky.social of @propublica.org
Screenshot of the article by Nicole Foy of ProPublica:
"When the Supreme Court recently allowed immigration agents in the Los Angeles area to take race into consideration during sweeps, Justice Brett Kavanaugh said that citizens shouldn’t be concerned.

“If the officers learn that the individual they stopped is a U.S. citizen or otherwise lawfully in the United States,” Kavanaugh wrote, “they promptly let the individual go.”

But that is far from the reality many citizens have experienced. Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents. They’ve had their necks kneeled on. They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear. At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them. One of those women had already had the door of her home blown off while Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem watched.

About two dozen Americans have said they were held for more than a day without being able to phone lawyers or loved ones."
This DOJ attorney wrote a pro-Russia article in 2022 for the Villanova Law Review where he argues that “Western media and politicians are eager to disparage Russia’s government as an ‘autocracy’ run by ‘oligarchs.’”

Every DOJ attorney has the choice of whether to participate in this or resign. It is a choice.
DOJ lawyer Sean Skedzielewski tells Ellis he's heard complaints about the incident in Albany Park, but he says "the reporting is just inaccurate." He cites "selectively edited media reports."

After Skedzielewski complains about the logistics of body cameras, Ellis tells him "there's, you know, a simple way to not have to do that though, right?"

After a long silence, Skedzielewski tells her "I think we're going to enforce federal law."

Why did your New York chapter host a panel with known TERF Larissa Phillips? In addition to her hate campaign against trans people, She writes for Bari Weiss and has praised Charlie Kirk.
I imagine the topic will be whether to hold DHS in contempt for their continuous and brazen violations of the court order. The real question is which attorney is willing to jeopardize their law license by repeating ICE’s lies in open court.
New development re: the temp restraining order meant to rein in federal agents' violence towards press and the public in the Chicago area.

Per a court entry filed today, a new hearing in the case has been set for tomorrow morning.

Prelim injunction hearing still set for 10/23, per the court.

There's a lot of talk about how a future Democratic administration could hold Trump administration officials for the various horrors they're perpetrating, which is tricky in some cases because there may not be an applicable criminal law. But there's very much a criminal law for intentional killings.

There is no statute of limitations for murder, including under UCMJ.
Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.

Note: Two Trump make-pretend US Attorneys have been DQed this way so far--Parking Garage Lawyer Alina Habba in NJ and Election Denier Sigal Chattah in NV.

The challenge to Chapman U flunky Bill Essayli in CDCA is still pending.

So this could easily work.
Jim Comey asks Judge Nachmanoff to find him a judge outside of EDVA to DQ Lindsey the Insurance Lawyer, so he can get on with it.

[Chief Judge in 4th C Albert Diaz will pick the judge.]

NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE MOTION ON UNLAWFUL APPOINTMENT
Please take notice that on October 20, 2025, James Comey, by counsel, will
file his motion to dismiss challenging the lawfulness of the appointment of the
United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. See, e.g., United States
v. Garcia, Crim No. 2:25-CR-00230-DGC-BNW, ECF No. 39 (D. Nev. Sept. 30,
2025); United States v. Giraud, et al., Crim No. 1:24-768-MWB, ECF Nos. 144, 145
(D.N.J. Aug. 21, 2025).
The Court advised at arraignment that such motion will require designation
of and assignment to an out-of-district judge to hear and resolve that motion. See 28
U.S.C. § 292(b); Minute Order, ECF No. 19 (Oct. 8, 2025). Thus, in the interest of
efficiency and to avoid any unnecessary delay in such process, Mr. Comey files the

Police officers who publicly declare that they’ll quit if a mayoral candidate they dislike wins the election are (1) usually bluffing—sure buddy, toss away that paycheck and pension—and (2) exactly the sort of cops cities would be better off without, ones who don’t see themselves as public servants.

The case against Comey is beyond weak. The case against James is worse. It is based on a lie, and they know they're lying because exculpatory evidence that contradicts the indictment had already been presented to a grand jury in another jurisdiction. Everyone involved with this needs to be disbarred

George was just trying to get to work.

ICE pepper-sprayed him, dragged him from his car, locked him in a detention center, and placed him on suicide watch. He even missed his young daughter’s birthday in the process.

This man is a veteran and American citizen. Don't look away.
"They put me on suicide watch and they put me in the cell, I'm naked, in like a hospital dress and just a concrete bed with like a mattress, like a thin mattress and, they leave the light on 24/7."

Grand Jury proceedings are secret, and the evidence the jurors see is controlled by the prosecutor. I would not be surprised if Halligan’s (mis)conduct in the GJ results in a dismissal. For them, getting the indictment is the end goal. Everything that happens next is a bonus.
i know grand juries have a relatively low bar for bringing indictments but i find myself wondering WTF is up with some of these grand jurors
