Anyone here well-versed in gov’t shutdowns?

State of CA deleted any record of my existence (my signature, voter registration, etc) and I’m wondering if they just can’t verify my SSN. No indication of such but have to ask. Help!

It’s safer, better for the environment and it will support our ability to fund service and make improvements.

If the media is going to keep pushing their crime & inefficiency narrative on public transit then agencies should fight back.

Car dominance is personally and societally unpleasant, transit is by-and-large convenient, affordable, and socially beneficial. No more needless concessions to big auto.

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

SB 63 has been signed into law by @gavinnewsom.bsky.social! Thank you Governor for allowing the Bay Area the opportunity to fund save public transit by defining a new financial support structure.

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social still hasn't signed SB 63, the bill allowing the Bay Area to vote on transit funding next November. Today is the last day he can sign it (or veto it) before it automatically becomes law.

This gives me hope. That Calif can get serious about climate. That young people and new immigrants to Calif might have same privileges I did. That we can make transit work. And that we transit advocates can learn from this phenomenal work by housing activists
