I think the brutality of the photos along with the lack of consent is viscerally triggering for a lot of us, again as a microcosm of what is happening in our country, and who is perpetuating it.

we don't talk enough about the impact of poverty or being just on the edge of poverty as a disabled person, and what that can do to disabled peoples' mental health. If I didn't have the "benefits" I receive, I would not be okay, and that's hard knowing that traditional work isn't accessible to me.
