If the sandwich don’t split, you must acquit
Defense says that the officer's testimony was "very questionable" because he said the sandwich both exploded in spray of mustard and onions and also landed in its wrapper on the ground.

Daycares in our neighborhood are no longer answering their doors after morning drop-off. Parents have to call the daycare when they arrive and they let them in for pickup. It's insane how we live now.
ICE isn’t going after the worst of the worst. This morning, they took a preschool teacher without a warrant IN FRONT OF CHILDREN in my district.

Some people think urbanism is all about making cities more walkable but it’s not

Urbanism is about making cities better places to live. Which means improving the amenities and resources people have access to as well as making sure people of all walks of life can afford to live in our cities.

I wonder which of the people in Trump’s orbit are most quickly starting to realize how as everything collapses, Trump will just get angrier and more prone to lashing out at them, blaming them, and firing them, and if that happens to them, it means they won’t get a pardon

As Justice Kagan immediately points out, it's not great for your argument that you have a taxing power when Congress wrote a bunch of words and none of them are "tax." /6

Asks, “Would a man genuinely injured, genuinely offended by having a sandwich thrown at him proudly, happily, joyfully” keep a plush sandwich on his shelf and a “Felony Footlong” patch on — yes! — his lunchbox?

This is about as clear that Fox signaling gets. Audience of one and all that, and trying to get through his head that he's fucking it all up.
Fox: A new poll finds about 70% of Americans say groceries are more expensive now than they were a year ago. About 60% of them are blaming Trump.

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

based on the polling data, can democrats afford to run on cis activist issues?

The more Dems can unify, the more they can exploit & deepen GOP splits. Last night showed the extent of Dem unity.
It's not about being the same. That's what authoritarians require. But it is about being clear who's on our side vs who's against us. And who can be persuaded vs who must be fought.
For those keeping score at home, Oregon now has THREE ultra-MAGA organizations that all dislike & distrust each other. There’s the United Conservatives of Josephine County, the OR GOP, & the Oregon Conservative Caucus. The latter is probably the most closely tied to Trump. bsky.app/profile/seth...
Interestingly, this MAGA activist--with close connections to Trump, David Sacks, etc.--has formed a pro-Trump organization in Oregon that is functioning as a parallel alternative to the official OR GOP. "Why does a blue state like Oregon need TWO statewide pro-Trump groups?" you might ask.

"A lot of us are going to come under direct attack, and a lot of us are going to resist by building solidarity and sanctuary": the solidarity with those under attack has been one of the most beautiful responses to the consequences of the 2024 election.

This is incredibly important:

we must frame tonight as a resounding victory — an electoral landslide, a mandate from the universe itself

and as a repudiation of MAGA, of Trump, and of vichy democrats

we must be relentless, we must not shut up

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.
