I cannot wait for this pushback against idea there is worth in children media takes us all the way back to people thinking animation is all for kids and we'll be told to stop consuming only media for kids for discussing the Amazing Digital Circus or Hazbin Hotel.

Sort of our world, but not. Sidetracked (& Sunrise) are set in 2018 in California, but the main town (Riverview) is fictional. Also no Trump presidency, and there’s a secret side of the government run by magical cat shifters. Used to be more dystopian than reality, but now it’s not.

The way they fridged an entire new generation of mutants that was being carefully shepereded under those two, reducing virtually all of the survivors to red-shirts! I just reread that era earlier this year and that duo was cooking something special that got slapped off the stove by a drunk busboy.

The way X-Men writing team treated kids from New X-Men: Academy X since Ktle & Yost left was disgusting, just one giant sign of people refusing to let these kids grow up and trying to pretend they didn't watch their friends die in terrorist attack X-Men failed to stop, before undoing it offpage.

Illyana's storyline had a perfect ending in Inferno and her dying of the legacy virus was a good use of a character with no more stories to tell. Bringing her back cheapens her original perfect arc and nothing they have done with the character since has justified it.

Neither Cyclops or Wolverine actually love Jean, they love the idea of Jean they have put on a pedestal. The only X-Man that seems to truly love Jean as Jean is Ororo, but they would never have a romantic relationship.

Half the Logan team ups with other characters should have Laura instead.

I hadn't got quite back into the comics when Krakoa was happening but I was keeping up to date through fan pages. I found out later about Beast turning into a war criminal and running X Force like the Gestapo and it made my heart hurt that our loveable, jovial intellectual became so vile.
