I'm sure raids happen everywhere, but the spectacle is cities and inner ring, where they're much more limited in manoeuvrability and the city's immune system can easily redeploy compared to more rural areas

it's so interesting that they're choosing engagements in cities, where that kind of force is fundamentally weak because of equipment, tactics, and Rules of Engagement

30 years ago, Bob Morris, then a senior scientist at NSA, gave a keynote talk at the CRYPTO conference (the leading conference for academic cryptographers).

He opened by telling us he would reveal the NSA's first rule for cryptanalysis (which certainly got our attention). "First", he said, "look for cleartext. You'll usually find it."

and you might be able to go pretty far with that theory, but ultimately, the marketing is not for some unspeaking tech toy or new kind of yogurt; it is for a person. the person needs to be able to perform well themselves, to convince, to have charisma.
