Depressing reading back something I wrote on UK fiscal position on taxes spending back in 2015 being so true it could be written now. Honestly makes me wonder if part of the problem is massive disconnect between classes and reality. Lack of integration into rest of society.

Sleep is a biological necessity, and sleep deprivation has real physical, psychological, and social consequences that need to be taken seriously. The way our society treats it as slothful to sleep according to natural rhythms (including midday naps and variant chronotypes like night owls) is evil.

Writing at times is realistic. Enjoying #thediplomat it really good thriller. I'm surprised how well it does in season 3. Various plot points flowing together. Honestly quite good.

There's a lot of people out there (apparently incl. Gov) that don't realise we can have a massive number of people that need new homes but, at the same time, a problem where there's very limited demand for new homes because prices and rates are too high while construction viability is squeezed.

The CPS insists on further evidence it does not require, and the government insists it could not give that evidence, even though it could.

This is huge news!
UBC has developed an enzyme that can convert donor organs to type O, making them universal.

I do find pretty amusing how we're repeating the same mistakes of the past here. Yet unable to police platforms themselves. Unwilling to challenge the monopoly big tech has. Would make more sense to ask questions over corporate governance and bunch more less sexy questions on platforms algorithm.

Also really confused whoever thought putting biggest cash cow on gamepass was a good idea. Change from hardware to game publisher is obvious. Unlike Sony during PS3 days Xbox has given up. Makes me think they looking ahead and shifting how they view the industry.

Gamepass changes are a bigger shift really. Moving towards gaming subscriptions. We already have that with playstation plus, EA play and forgot what else. But I always confused why call of duty was day one game. And why Xbox went with newer titles whilst everyone went with older library model.
