Reporters who cover the Pentagon tend to be serious journalists who have spent years covering one of the largest, most complex bureaucracies in the world.

They rarely appear on camera. Most of their names are not commonly known.

And you're goddamned right this is a subtweet.

"Medical gaslighting as a service" is not a use case I anticipated! Doctors seem to enjoy that part of the job so much, why would they outsource it to an app?
Pain does not work like this.

Nothing works like this. There's a reason lie detectors are inadmissible bullshit machines.

But even if it did, those thermometers mentioned in the first sentence? They don't work properly on Black skin. Same with pulse oximeters: they don't work on melanin, either.
Facial expressions common to all humans! 🙃

My parents' generation was super racist, but they took pains to hide it from us. So a lot of young conservatives in the 90s and early aughts were earnest small government and/or evangelical types.

As I said, the overt racists and radicals had to form their own orgs.

The real reason a lot of us got into lab science:
Okay, we’re done.

Plonk.
So I still fail to see how you’re being persecuted. Asexual issues seem to be independent and not systemic. You can still fuck anyone if you choose to, as some people are allo/ace or aromantic. I really do view this in the same vein as bisexuals that are in heterosexual relationships.
I think you need to remove ‘ace’ as a keyword from that feed; it’s used too often for things that aren’t asexuality and that makes the feed cluttered with things like Ace Oracle and sports posts.
It’s not choosing to be celibate; asexuality is the state of not being sexually attracted to people, regardless of gender.

You are mistaking not feeling hunger for dieting.
I fail to see how you choosing to be single and or/celebate is any way in the same boat as the persecution suffered by being gay or trans, and is something that you need to work with individually rather than on a societal level
You don’t think being sent to conversion therapy is real persecution?
I don’t understand why that matters though? It really does come off like trying to attach yourself to a group that experiences real persecution.
Because people who are single but allosexual don’t get told they’re “broken”, “wrong” or “mentally ill”; they don’t get sent to conversion therapy; they are generally not considered “inhuman”. All that and more has happened to asexuals, and being part of the LGBT community helps deal with that.
Truly don’t understand why asexuals are looped in with the wider LGBT community. I truly fail to see how being asexual interferes with your life in any way other than annoying ppl asking you why you’re single
Are you ace yourself, or are you an allosexual asking out of genuine confusion?

What Happened to The Migrants The U.S. Dumped In Panama?
Nearly 300 people were sent to a country they’d never lived in. The journey didn’t end there.

Spooky bird stories. Last year's Halloween comic.
A comic titled Spooky Bird Stories. In panel 1, a turkey vulture is telling stories to other vultures, and it says, "She walked toward the source of the terrible smell. She got closer and closer, and then, to her horror, she saw... No dead body." A black vulture says "No!" and a turkey vulture says "Did someone already eat it??"
In panel 2, a northern cardinal is telling a story to some songbirds. It says "They peered through the windows of the house at the gory scene. Zombies had smashed through the door in the night. The homeowner was dead. But worst of all... He hadn't refilled the feeders." An eastern bluebird says "Aaah!" and an American goldfinch says "It can't be!".
In panel 3, a screech owl is telling a story to other owls. It says "And then the ghost fluffed itself up really big to appear scarier." A saw-whet owl gasps, and a long-eared owl says "Horrifying!".
In panel 4, a downy woodpecker is telling a story to other woodpeckers, and says "The eerie sound rang through the dark woods. Tap-tap. Tap-tap. It was the distinctive two-part knock of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. The species had returned from the dead... FOR REVENGE." A red-cockaded woodpecker says "Yesss".

I didn’t even know about the University Plan until they started pissing all over it, and now I’m heartily in favor of it.
OH YES. I won't click on any of the ones about the University Boulevard plan, because blurg.

I've very briefly been in a wheelchair and I pushed a stroller for years and as I navigate cracked sidewalks that have poles sticking out of the middle of them, etc., I think about those populations.
This is rapidly devolving into “what does God need with a starship?” territory.
“We’re saving God.”
Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."
Nextdoor has only shown me how selfish and irresponsible a good number of my neighbors are; I have no idea how to curate it for a better experience.

The one person who keeps posting rants about the University Boulevard Corridor Plan needs to try navigate the area on a cane and no car for a month
Call me a glutton for punishment...I replied to a ND post freaking out over the bus rapid transit work starting on Viers Mill. Now waiting for the people complaining housing prices will go up, others complaining housing prices will go down, and a lot of people who don't know what a right-of-way is.

Oh he for sure does! He’d be happy own a cotton field and be insulted of you expected him to pick it with own two hands.
Something tells me he has different ideas about who should be picking cotton at the plantation.
The hardest one to remember was my own phone number; I called my friends regularly, my own house not so much.
The way I did it as a kid was I memorized the shape of the number on the keypad. This worked until I had to use a rotary phone or just tell someone the and then I was fucked.
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
