The walls and arches of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. Arabic epigraphs and patterns and ornaments in every part of the arches which are in the color of ivory. Little arches even in the patterns. You are standing underneath an arch in a darker part, looking at 6! other arches in the room in front of you in bright natural light. Everywhere ornamentation and embroidery. It is a shame they have time limits and so many visitors..

The fan vaulting of the ceiling is supported by an arched colonnade. The pillars and filigree work of the arches casts strong shadows onto the flagstone floor of the cloister. Through the arches there is an open courtyard.
The cloisters were started in 1297.

Spotted sun orchid (Thelymitra ixioides) variations in heathland near Genoa Creek, East Gippsland, VIC. Flower colour here is a lot more consistent than coastal populations closer to Mallacoota but there are still occasional both slightly paler and darker blue forms. #orchids #inthefield #ozplants
