“Every adventure requires a first step.” – Cheshire Cat, Alice in Wonderland #TheRoad #BlueSkyAtShow
This photo was taken with my old mobile, but I like it because of the stunning, magical light and fog- mix that day.
#SchönesgegenDoofes
A little road between two freshly cut fields leading towards a foggy little wood. The sun shines through the very light fog, there is hoar frost on the gras

Happy #BlueSkyMonday!

It’s dull and damp here today, so I’m remembering a lovely summer’s day in Cornwall.

Have a good week all 💙💗

Steinerne Skulpturen. Man sieht die Oberkörper eines nackten Mannes und eines geflügelten Skeletts.
Das Skelett umgreift den Mann mit knöchernen Fingern und küsst das Gesicht.

When I met the wide-eyed gaze of this schoolgirl—her tousled hair, her face alive with quiet curiosity—I lowered my camera. In that instant, her unguarded innocence shattered my detachment, reminding me of the fleeting privileges we take for granted and the fragile beauty of our shared humanity.
Upon seeing the wide-eyed gaze of this innocent schoolgirl, her tousled hair framing a face filled with quiet curiosity and unspoken stories from a distant classroom, I had to put my camera down. In that moment of stillness, I reflected on the fleeting nature of my own life—the privileges, the cultures fading away before my eyes, and how a single child's unfiltered expression can cut through the lens to remind us of our shared humanity. Happy #Stunday everyone 🌞 I've taken a dive into my archive for this one...

Coral Beach at Claigan and Loch Dunvegan, Isle of #Skye, #Scotland. May 2017

The beach is not made from coral ! More in Alt Text

#Landscape #Seascape #Photography #EastCoastKin
Beneath a stormy looking sky the sandy beach glows in a patch of sunlight. The sand leads down to the choppy, turquoise and dark green waters of Loch Dunvegan (a sea loch).
The dazzling white ‘sand’ of Claigan Coral Beach, that can be seen in many photos, is in fact not sand. It’s also not coral. It’s formed by the deposit of small pieces of ‘coralline’ hard seaweed called maerl that is crushed by wave action, dried and sun bleached on the shore.

This is an important habitat the Maerl beds are purply-pink when alive. They are a marine nature conservation priority in Scottish waters as they are an important habitat for small marine plants and animals including young scallops.

Have a beautiful Sunday, and..
Be like the bird, who
Resting in his flight
On a twig too slight
Feels it bend beneath him
Yet sings,
Knowing he has wings. Victor Hugo

😂 perfectly said! They have a strange sense of what isn’t appropriate, I saw a lot of things and bodies I really didn’t want to see starting Bluesky.

The last time I tried to post a statue of a pregnant woman standing in a public park in Dublin it was labelled as “grownup- content” 😅. So I am happy this one passed the check because I think it’s deeply erotic, the kind that you only get when you understand what the poem means.

That is so true and beautifully written, fits perfectly, thank you for sharing ❤️

I love the eerie peace of this picture and am impatiently waiting for the November fog to come. It also makes me think of Francis Weller's Five Gates of Grief, of which the first one says: 'Everything we love, we will lose'. How true.

Portal 5. Trying to summon the fog back again with this image. Took this photo last winter in the dreamy perpetual fog. If this place isn't haunted I'll eat my hat. #phantomfriday Croxden Abbey
Portrait black and white photo of an arched church window in a ruined stone wall. Through the window, which is taken at an angle, are more of the ruined stone walls and arches and a bare winter tree. They are slightly obscured by the fog.
