She lost me with the Midnights clock, which was her last good album. I'm a fan but these last two albums are average at best (I've listened to Showgirl twice and moved on). All these drops epitomize the word rapacious.

She called out artists who release multiple versions of their albums, saying it was wasteful. Wasn't calling out Swift personally, but of course it was reported they were feuding. You mentioning 38(!) versions made me think of that and yeah. Wasteful asf.

ASP always crowed about how she was going to end the show with three very specific words. She did, so Rory never really stood a chance as written. She could have taken a different tack with her but wanted the whole Lorelai 2.0 arc and stuck to it.

Much like video games and movies length is not a proxy for quality and many times a book that can be read in a couple of hours is what is needed. Creating a good series of these is better than a bunch of thick tomes.
