I’ve been working for 15 years as an animator and I can tell you without a doubt, the best fix I ever found for imposter syndrome is living a full life where your days and worth don’t hinge on whether or not you were a good animator today.

I’m so broken up by the death of Struzan. He felt like a mythological demigod with a non-zero chance of meeting him one day. The definition of a legend. I hope his family is doing okay through his passing

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

Believe old game devs when we tell you: burnout is real, it's painful. Be honest with yourself, take the breaks when you need them.
I've been burnt out for so long, I only just realized how long. I went from crunch at Iridium into crunch at Giant Squid with no break. About 3 years. It was too long.
