When I was in college, you couldn’t use attendance in grading, so profs usually used “participation.”

One of my favorite professors said that tests could include anything from lectures, reading or sections, so you wanted to be at lectures, but, also, they were so good you didn’t want to miss them.

My husband (a pastor) and I love to look around after church and see how many people are chatting with each other, and for how long, before they go along their ways. The “official” coffee hour is before church, so it really is a good measure of community. (The coffee stays out for a bit then, too.)

This sweet girl keeps me safe, just like her big sister (and nemesis) did before her. 🥰

A mom in Houston reported her 15-year-old son with autism missing. She spent 6 days terrified, searching for him. The whole time, Houston police knew exactly where he was since they helped ICE place him in a refugee facility.

This is beyond cruel.
