As we gather around the table this #Thanksgiving, we’re thinking about the workers who made it all possible: the hands that picked the pumpkins, sorted the sweet potatoes, and processed the turkey.

Many are immigrants. All are essential.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The Governor of West Virginia now has two conflicting back-to-back posts about the health status of the two National Guard members who were shot in Washington, DC.

I have deleted my previous post sharing the news that they had died.

This is a win for due process.

The Trump administration was keeping immigrants with ZERO criminal records locked up in detention for weeks and months on end. A judge just ruled that these individuals must be entitled to bond hearings. abcnews.go.com/Politics/tho...

“Folks are going into work thinking that, ‘I’m going to come home,’” said Viri Martinez of @njaij.bsky.social.

Except many workers aren't. NJ temp workers are being sent to bonded warehouses controlled by federal agents, with no warning.

They're walking into potential ICE raids.

Karoline, do you have an answer for your nephew? Would you like to explain to him the role you have played in the disappearance of his mother? 2/2

A lot is being said about Karoline Leavitt’s non-response to ICE abducting the mother of her nephew. But I want to talk about her nephew.

He is 11. He lives with both his mom and his dad — until now. Because now he doesn’t know where his mom is. 1/2

Had the opportunity to hear Father Gary’s homily as he continues his pilgrimage to the Statue of Liberty.
