Heads up for folx playing Arc Raiders: Embark has openly stated (in an interview with GamesRadar+), that the game uses the same AI voice tech as The Finals, and the CEO has talked about using AI to generate 3D models from YouTube rips.

If you're anti-AI you should not be playing Arc Raiders!

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

more than "you should play bad games because a maligned game might be good" i would prefer if the positive contrarian dogma was "you should play games that genuinely interest you regardless of what other people think" because holy shit the former leads to a lot of turning your misery into Content

That's, basically my problem with it too.
Well written or not, most of this was covered exhaustively in the main game. It doesn't feel like it adds much, especially given it's run time. For how long it takes to read, you'd think there'd be something more there.
