That said, every cybersecurity person in the pentagon now has an ulcer in the shape of OpenAI’s logo. I’m sure the weights of a military LLM would be an incredibly tempting target.

It depends. At the beginning during dating? Sure.

But like… when my spouse’s grandmother (who helped raise him), was dying, he was a mess. In the heat of my parents’ grey divorce, I was a mess. Neither of us were “giving” at that moment.

It’s about long-term reciprocity, not short-term accounting.

Depends on the material conditions. One distinction that the liberationists use that I think is helpful is Apostolic Poverty (simplicity of life, solidarity with the poorest), which is life-giving, and demonic poverty (hunger, denial of healthcare, etc.) which is against God's will.
