People get their news from tiktok. They learn “history” via instagram memes. Most online arguments are just two people angrily disagreeing with something they didn't read.
You cant have in-depth, good-faith discussions with people whose worldviews are about as expansive as a shot glass.

So much discourse is caused by the fact that people don't read. Not comics, not books, not articles, not papers, not literary fiction, not non fiction, not academic works, nothing past what was demanded at school and even then, they barely did it.

Only "method acting" I accept is when its for doing something funny, like Freddie Stroma who spent the whole first season of Peacemaker keeping Vigilante's american accent to stay in character behind the scenes and freaked out John Cena later on during press when he revealed his real britsh accent

Finding out that Jared Leto kept doing his method acting shit and insisted on staying in character on the set of Tron Ares and would only answer to the name of Ares is so funny, like making a big ass douche of yourself for the third Tron movie where you play “computer program that gains feelings”
