A man & a dog. Come for pictures of Wilbur 🐶, stay for #Pittsburgh Sports, #mufc musings and general randomness. Ex-weatherdude. Completely preposterous, but absolutely human. Native of Manchester, now in the Democratic People's Republic of Bromsgrove.

Hello Bluesky people 😊 me and Wilbur are doing a sponsored dog walk next month in aid of MND Research, in memory of my Uncle.

If any of you would like to chip in, that would be wonderful and really appreciated - link here socialsync.app/fundraiser/c... thank you so much ❤️

Reminder that Violent J of Insane Clown Posse has the correct response to a lot of the shitty things he said in the early days.
to Lisa Nandy saying that banning away fans is unprecedented, when it happens most weeks somewhere in Europe and Rangers and Celtic in Scotland have been doing it for years to each other's fans, it's just absolutely mind blowing. They aren't even stopping to think to look for nuance here, it's awful
It's absolutely staggering. Politicians who I used to think had their heads screwed on have absolutely lost their minds. From Ed Milliband saying that Villa Park mustn't become a no go area for Jews (1/2)
I'm pissed off at how Villa (I'm not a fan) and the city of Birmingham have been dragged into this mess by politicians of all colours not deferring to experts who were just doing their job dilligently - and as a result, they cast antisemitic aspersions on a great multicultural city and it's leaders.
Even though the matter has been settled now with the Israeli club declining any offers of tickets were the decision to be reversed, with every passing day, the government's intervention last week looks worse and worse and worse www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
Intelligence on ‘extreme’ Maccabi fans with history of violence led to Villa Park ban

Posting about sports here is great. You just gotta commit to it.
A note for sports: Bluesky’s engagement rate was x10 higher than X’s across a sampling of identical posts made on both platforms by @rapsheet.bsky.social (sharing with permission)

Fwiw we see a similar trend across all communities, not just sports. Real people, real conversations.
So close, such a competitive episode and you can't separate them. Still on Team Jasmine and I still think she doesn't win it in the end, but these next two weeks are going to be so exciting! #GBBO #BakeOff
Oh God, I missed all this drama!!!! Poor thing, I hope he's okay now.
“Poo or Leaf” is the best autumn game there is, especially in the dark ☺️
Bake Off Quarter Finals, let's go!

I think we're in for an upset this week. I wonder if one of the favourites goes? Jasmine has been the best baker on a week to week basis, but that usually means she won't win.

#BakeOff #GBBO
Brilliant news, Congratulations! 🙂

The man whose presence might lead to Tel Aviv football fans being “falsely associated with his far-right activities,” has just visited Tel Aviv as an honoured guest of the Israeli government. Riddle me that.
A Maccabi club source told the UK Jewish News that the intervention of far right political activist Tommy Robinson pledging to attend the game as a Maccabi fan was the "final straw" for their decision about the risks of accepting tickets amid this row

Tried to sneak a photo of a cute doggo and accidentally had long exposure on and I believe I have created man’s greatest expression of art
Oh no, hope you begin to feel better soon 🥺

Does your gym not have step class steps that you could use to lift you up, or one of those weighted machines where you kneel on a pad to do pull ups?
This is not for today, by the way. I am still ill. Was going to work but didn’t fall asleep until half 2 which meant I woke up at half 10. So another sick day it is!

It’s not a bad cold, I’m just dizzy and drained with a scratchy throat. It’s weird.
I really want to do some dead hangs but I can’t reach any of the pull up bars in my gym.

Why is everything made for men 🥲
Yes, it's another moment where the government have misread the situation and failed to rise to the moment.

Lisa Nandy was in parliament yesterday saying the banning of away fans is unprecedented, without realising that Rangers and Celtic have banned each others away fans for the last few years!

This is so fucking Canada, it’s glorious.
At Yonge & Dundas Jays fans are obeying the pedestrian scramble, as is the custom & returning to sidewalk each light cycle.

seems like playoff baseball is stressful, the pittsburgh pirates have simply encouraged me to live a stress free lifestyle.
That place must’ve been deafening at that moment.

Feel sad for Seattle, they had the best season in their history, but delighted that the Jays get to go up against the Dodgers in the World Series.

Vlad against Shohei is going to be incredible.
George Springer gives the Jays the lead
As stated moments after Starmer released his statement, this was always a ridiculous issue to get involved in.

The lack of knowledge about the sheer atrociousness of sections Maccabi's support, the conflation, the criticism of the police and decision makers, it was a stupid thing to butt into.
