Again: these people have always been like this, and have seen it as a grave injustice that they cannot just get on the TV and say all of their crank wingnut opinions out loud. Much of the last decade can be seen as a campaign to correct what they see as unacceptable restraints on their behaviour.
Everyone indulging any of this bullshit is by extension promoting *this* bullshit, and should be treated as such

Sky News is platforming a guy who says he's from a Jewish Aston Villa supporters group, but it turns out that the guy a) isn't Jewish, b) the group doesn't exist, and c) he works for the right wing Henry Jackson Society, whose website says he 'specialises in disinformation'. Well, quite.

Video from earlier when horses ran through the crowd. Cops were swinging batons randomly at the crowd as well.

Between Nina and Manitoba's Maya Turner, women in college football scored at least 16 points today. Is this the highest scoring day for women in college football ever?

While officers cleared the sidewalk and street in front of the Portland ICE facility, ERO agents ran out of the side for a targeted arrest. Lots of tear gas.

A police officer just drive his cruiser through the crowd and knocked over a protester—injuring him. Chaos here while they try to get him in a waiting car to get him to the hospital

Political parties must shift immediately and dramatically to the left to avoid alienating these frustrated and abandoned young women. Am I doing this right?
Our recent poll found that women 28 and younger skew substantially more left than the national average. Nearly 80 percent of Gen Z women want abortion to be legal and seven in 10 want gender-affirming care to be accessible for trans adults.

"'Very hard mathematically,' Cuomo tells Sid Rosenberg when asked if he can win if Sliwa stays in... He says Trump could call NYS GOP chair Ed Cox and tell him to tell Sliwa to drop out."

He’s been begging Trump to clear the way for him and his supporters keep pretending he’s not a GOP puppet.
Curtis Silwa was asked if he felt okay with losing and contributing to Zohran Mamdani’s victory and he responded by laying into Bill Ackman and Andrew Cuomo.

If you think “No Kings” is not anti-imperial enough, take note. I took a Palestine sign to the first one and while I saw others, I got a lot of engagement from folks. Even if they’re organized by lib normies, these events need NOT be a ceiling. They’re a floor. Go raise the roof at them.
Can report back from the Charlotte No Kings that "free Palestine" is now, if not the normie lib position, then at least fully accepted among the normie libs. Lots of signs and flags scattered about, no apparent drama at all.

this rocks. when indiana edu killed the student newspaper, Purdue stepped up, printed the forbidden issue, drove it to Bloomington and stocked the boxes.
It's both pleasant and shocking when cops decide not to riot.
This is a way more polite version than what I would say to him, were I given the opportunity, but on the same track
Not being even vaguely sarcastic:

At some point, a journalist needs to ask Johnson “you regularly claim you have no idea what your own government is doing. If we take you at your word, how are you so poorly informed, and do you this level of ignorance should disqualify you as speaker?”
Q: What's your message to the 170 US citizens who have been detained by ICE? About 20 of them are children

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know what you're talking about with the children. I haven't seen that so I'm not going to comment on it.

utterly depressing that Nixon-level scandals are now a normal Friday night news drop, barely remarked upon, just another day in Trump’s America
Two more career prosecutors fired for refusing to indict NY AG Letitia James because they could not find probable cause to charge her. 🎁

nursing home bloodbath was one of those issues where you truly did have to hand it to the NY Post and Empire Center

they were right

Cuomo killed people and fucked with state health data to cover it up

it was not an issue on which a decent person should have to pick a team
This woman's husband was a social worker in a nyc nursing home in 2020. She reads texts from her husband during that time to explain why her family won't be voting for Cuomo. Warning, there's a lot of death references (she says rank but it's a recent post)
