Israel's decision to limit Gaza aid pending return of the bodies of deceased Israelis clarifies 3 things: (1) Israel controls aid to Gaza, not Hamas, (2) Israel will make the civilian population of Gaza pay even tho' Hamas may not be able to deliver, and (3) some dead are more imp than the living.

I would note that this disdain points in one direction. These legacy media outlets have been quick to cover and hype tea party protests, anti-mask/anti-vax protests, and countless other examples of what they call “real Americans” engaging in protest.

For sure some of the legacy media outlets are downplaying the protests because they’re aligned with Trump, but I think an even bigger factor is how many elite journalists have a patrician disdain for the idea that politics can happen in the streets and not just the CNN green room.

let's all remember that one of the more important benefits of these protests is for your mental health. Yes showing solidarity and standing up and sending a message is important. But so is just being around people who see things the same way as you.

Just arrived on the scene at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland. Here less than 10 minutes when agents charged out of the facility and used a pale yellow gas that caused tears and coughing in crowd members. Also shot munitions at those retreating.

I joined the "human banner" at San Francisco's Ocean Beach. This flag was at the center. It was a gorgeous day with enormous waves. #nokings

This is the human banner from the air. It's sign made from masses of people standing together to form letters. It reads "No Kings Yes on 50." There is an American flag in the middle and a thick border around the banner. (Prop 50 is a California state proposition to gerrymander the state to create more blue districts, in order to combat the Texas law that gerrymanders their state to create more red districts.)

I'm sure many of you have heard by now that earlier this week, IU k*lled the print edition of its student paper, the IDS. The issue that was supposed to print this week contained criticism of the Whitten regime and IUs further slide into scist control, and they couldn't allow that to happen during Homecoming, when all the rich alumni are in town.
Enter Purdue! The Purdue student paper, The Exponent, owns its own presses. Yesterday, in an act of tremendous solidarity with their biggest rival school, they printed the forbidden issue of the IDS. They then drove it to Bloomington overnight and stocked all of the IDS boxes on campus, just in time for Homecoming.
Solidarity is what makes us stronger, and solidarity will be what ultimately allows us to triumph, if we can ever truly get it together. I hope everyone has a fun, safe day if they're going out today, and I hope we can think about what acts of solidarity we can begin taking to really make this movement MOVE - beyond a permitted expression of upset into more active resistance.
