Notably on a CBS call today in which the panel was floated, one producer also repeatedly emphasized the need to hear from Palestinians in Gaza (Weiss did not respond).

respectfully micah I am very exhausted by people claiming that "the Democrats" have or don't have a particular message. I am demanding rigor here. which dems, specifically? over what timeframe, which platforms? have you actually looked thru their feeds or tv spots?

I say this because often times lately I see people stake a claim which is refuted by even a cursory search of a Bluesky feed, but that Dem account's post only has like 3 reposts and <100 likes. people don't *actually* engage with the message content we have and then assume it doesn't exist

the thing to do with self-censoring facts is just to build unassailable large comprehensive sources for them- nothing that's a stretch or that needs lots of explaining, as honest as you can get- and try and go through them with folks. it won't work orally.

So I see this election as very critical to who we are as a nation - the character of America, democracy. And they may not like hearing that, but I don't like what they're saying either. And what they're - the assault that they are making on - no one is above the law. That's been what America has been about, except if you're Donald Trump.

KELLY: When you say they, you're talking about who? Republicans?

PELOSI: Yeah. I'm talking...

KELLY: People who support Trump?

PELOSI: ...About the cult that the Republican Party has become - a cult to a thug. And that thug would be Donald Trump. So I wish they'd take back their part of - the country needs a strong Republican Party. It has had a strong Republican Party with great leaders for America. And that is really not what we're seeing there. It's up to them, though.

4/ Ok, so then the obvious next step is to negotiate a compromise. That's how we've always avoided shutdowns. And Republicans need to convene those talks, bc they're in charge.

But here's the kicker - Trump is telling them to BOYCOTT NEGOTIATING. And they are following orders.
