“Fuck AI”

— Guillermo del Toro

🎥 Vanity Fair
So far so good! I had a very good HLA match with my donor
It’s also the reason I didn’t get hit w/ a lifetime cap during 15 years of cancer treatment.
In 2009, 5 days in the hospital after being diagnosed with leukemia left me with me $5000 worth of out of pocket expenses.

Last year, a month in the hospital for a bone marrow transplant left me with a $600 bill.

ACA is the reason why.
It’s also bizarrely funny that he thinks he can get the votes of southern Brooklyn and Staten Island conservatives. They’ve hated him for a long time.
Cuomo never ran in a competitive election. His opponents were an aspiring Fox News host, a clown with a baseball bat, two non-descript county executives and two people who had never run for office.

His campaign skill was name recognition. Now that name is associated with a creep, not his dad.

The real problem with AI generation as a tool for liberating everyone’s creativity is that most people’s “great ideas” that their lack of skills are holding back suck shit
Still waiting for this fucking technology to write the next great American novel instead of just defiling the memory of people to do racism or making Sonic the Hedgehog enjoy meth

OpenAI announced that it has "paused" users' ability to generate videos of Martin Luther King Jr. on its artificial intelligence video tool Sora, following backlash over "disrespectful depictions." https://cnn.it/4qxP0KX
All that money and the best they can do is beg for Republicans in the outerboros to vote for a guy they’ve hated for more than a decade.

I think copyright law is good and that the tech bros.and AI scammers owe me a lot of money.
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.
The funniest would be Cuomo winning and Hochul removing him from office on Jan. 2..

That seems very unlikely now.
The second funniest outcome of the election is Cuomo finishing third and I really hope it happens.
Cuomo concedes it'll be "very, very hard mathmatecially" for him to win on Nov. 4 if Sliwa stays in the race.

He says local GOP "bosses" are keeping Sliwa in the race because Mayor Mamdani would be a good foil for Trump and national Republicans.

His forehead looks 30 years younger than the rest of his face. A walking advertisement for SPF

Seeing a lot of "No Kings" protests groups using AI images lately

You aren't resisting fascism by using their tools

Be better than that
Gotta try a triumvirate of hitting coaches next.

Mamdani campaigns like someone who unapologetically loves the city.

If you listen to Cuomo and Sliwa they seem to think this place is a hellhole and that it’s perpetually 1977.

If you are a Canadian citizen or resident, and you hate "AI"¹, please fill out this survey.

The survey questions are *extremely* biased, so this will not be a fun experience, but I think it is worth it.

¹ (And if you like "AI"… how have I not blocked you yet?)

Please remember that the disgust people have over Christopher Columbus is not based on some modern, 21st century “woke” ideology, but rather on contemporaneous accounts of atrocities that make many modern genocides appear quaint in comparison.

Below, are the accounts of Bartlomé de las Casas.
We can talk about how the Cubs went 7-0 vs. the Mets in 2015
