Since I’m new here, please allow me to introduce myself…
A thread:
1) I am Todd Radom. I contain multitudes, but the core of my work has involved design for sports, which is best seen here…

Would love to, lots of great Boston content in there, including short chapters on the birth of the Red Sox and the amazing South End Grounds

The Mariners literally owe their existence to the fact that the Pilots became the Brewers!

Correct on age, Perry! I was and continue to be inspired by both. So excited about these new teams in 1977 that I dragged my family to one of the first Mariners games at Yankee Stadium, and to a Blue Jays doubleheader there about a month later.

The Sons of 1977 ALCS. The Mariners and Blue Jays are expansion mates, born in 1977 as new AL clubs. Toronto wasn't part of MLB's US licensing agreement—they had their own team-labeled retail program which generated massive revenue, selling 120,000 caps in Vancouver alone (3,000 miles from Toronto)

That was the first postseason series in history to end on a walkoff error.

What a crushing way for any team to end a season.

Bill Buckner might come to mind, but that was only Game 6.

I have photos from that day, thinking it was an Equitable Old Timer's Day game. Off to find them now

Easy to hammer this stuff when one isn't in the room and there getting the creative brief, but I'm not sure this is going to age well (like 5 years out.) The pieces of the overall look seem to have trouble fitting together nicely, a rigid and inflexible core
