Time for me to be aggrieved by the most trivial of things, but I cannot stand the new icon updates for Office. The satin-y pastel veneer slapped over featureless blobs. The increasing likelihood they were mined from prompt generators. The assumption their ubiquity transcends the need for good design

A little less than a month out from the annual model building contest. This year the theme is Macross, so I'm building a YF-19 from Macross Plus (Dyson's plane).

I just finished the hardest part of the build: Painting the tiny pilot no one will ever see.

A 1:72 scale pilot in a grey cockpit of the Macross Plus YF-19. The pilot is painted blue with white gloves and boots, yellow and black striped shoulder epaulets and a white, black and blue helmet with a green visor.

It is next to a US dime for scale.

Only because I haven't seen it mentioned yet. Why did I finish this game? Those reasons are lost to the annals of time. Alas.

Now I am much more conditioned to just stop playing games I don't enjoy.

Key art for the Xbox 360 game "Too Human" a game with just enough promise to keep me interested, but ultimately a giant letdown. It was my highest percentage complete game by achievements until I switched to primarily PC gaming

Back in New York for NYCC; second year in a row I've gotten bamboozled by an in-flight movie that sounds innocent but isn't.

"Life of Chuck! I remember seeing a trailer of Tom Hiddleston dancing to a drummer while Nick Offerman narrates! This will be fun and lighthearted!"
