BBC Click was pretty much the new Tomorrow's World. It was excellent, and ran for 25 years until it was inexplicably cancelled earlier this year.

All of the above, but with a single caveat: Kieran Prendeville is brought in and tarred/feathered in E01 for misleading the public about the durability of the CD format.

I can hear all the commissioner objections already "people get their information off the internet" (errrrr, and see what good that's done for us), "we'd always be paying catch-up" (errrrr, NO you SET the fucking agenda) etc.

In post-truth era, the public service aspect alone is inarguable.

BBC BRING BACK 'TOMORROW'S WORLD'.

Science, tech, environment reporting are woeful currently. Something that blasts excitement about what a golden age we're in of discovery (vaccines, computing, space exploration etc etc) but can also be a trojan horse for warnings on climate etc
