BBC Click was pretty much the new Tomorrow's World. It was excellent, and ran for 25 years until it was inexplicably cancelled earlier this year.

False claims - including this one - circulate on here and on Meta’s platforms. But it is strategically brain dead for the government not to be trying to move politicos away from X, where this stuff circulates straight into political commentary freely and where the owner hates and opposes you.

I spoke to a few people, including journalists, at Labour conference who had seen and believed claims on X that Multiverse – Tony Blair's son's company – had been chosen to run the government’s new digital ID scheme

@fullfact.org have checked this claim and it is untrue

The very uncharitable profits of JustGiving which takes fees, a cut of gift aid, and then asks donors for a tip! bit.ly/4nzZpDV much better to give directly to the charity, but if you do use JG always set tip to zero. But you can’t stop it snaffling some of the Gift Aid
JustGiving pays £25.8m dividend to American owner
The charity platform made the payment to the Nasdaq-listed Blackbaud after revenues rose by 9.7 per cent to £64.5m

Such an embarrassment. The fact she'll never have any power makes it barely worth noticing her, but whenever you do she's doing something abysmal or moronic. She richly deserves the anonymity to come.

If Keir Starmer won’t even make a moral case against deporting our friends and neighbours, then what is the point of him?

1. Bluesky doesn’t downrank links
2. You can choose your own algorithm from among thousands
3. The whole app is open source

This keeps it a free and open platform by design, leading to better click-throughs and traffic to your site.

We 💙 the open web.

Have you thought about applying for a blue check (link below)? If more MPs were verified, it might help to legitimise Bluesky as an alternative to x.. bsky.app/profile/bsky...

Doesn't it feel like there should be some kind of organised, anti-hate campaign to get public bodies, politicians, media etc to ditch X? (Not sure who would convene it, but still)

Esp given assassination of Kirk in US i find Musk's intervention here, calling for dissolution of parliament and a new govt, really scary .

Also UK govt bodies should get the fuck off X.

@samuel.bsky.team the spacing of the bookmark icon on Android (pixel 10) is irksome. Any plans to fix soon?

New deputy leader candidates, same fucking misogyny.

Like, it's a CREEPY sentence for a piece of political analysis to even contain, but to choose it as the TITLE is next-level incel shit.

I agree with this. There are now a lot of UK MPs on Bluesky, including cabinet ministers (assuming they're real). Proactive verification might help encourage them to engage more with this platform, which could be a pull factor for more MPs, government accounts, journalists etc.

Elon Musk has *personally*posted in favour of the racist remigration agenda of the maximalist racist abusing the Home Secretary with this on X & endlessly posting racist harassment on X

This should be a story.
It should be a scandal.
Musk should have to account for this, in person, in parliament

I am reading that politicians of the left should be held to standards that those of the right ignore, and I hope you enjoy your moment of purity before a populist government sweeps away norms and laws entirely

Extremely emotive opinion here, but I really like Angela Rayner. We've had *years* of Tory MPs and even Prime Minsters running fast and loose with every rule, with little or no consequence, but of course she is held to a higher standard.
