The remnants of Typhoon Halong battered western Alaska overnight. Homes, with people in them, have literally been swept into the Bering Strait.

I remember that “OK” hand gesture started as an online trolling campaign on 4chan where white supremacists said, “Let’s pretend this means ‘white power’ and see if liberals freak out.” But then actual white nationalists adopted it sincerely.

A lot of racism today isn’t explicit slurs or violence, it’s coded, symbolic, or dressed up as “jokes” and “coincidences.” When people try to convince you something isn’t racist because it’s not obvious, that’s gaslighting.

The GOP & Billionaires sold white America this illusion of “potential wealth” that if they just work hard, they’ll join the billionaire class. So they defend policies that harm them because they think they’re protecting their future self, when really they’re protecting the people keeping them stuck.

The U.S. spends trillions on defense, subsidies, and tax breaks that benefit corporations and the wealthy, yet when it comes to healthcare, suddenly everyone becomes a budget hawk.

We can 100% afford it especially if we move forward taxing billionaires and removing these exploitative tax loopholes.

An MMA fighter revealed to an interviewer that they were s*xually abused as a CHILD, and the interviewer said “you must’ve been an attractive gentleman”. Not only did he just out himself as a predator but he made it clear women, children and men aren’t safe around him or other men.

To be honest, I’m mostly talking about celebrities. I know at least two Black people who have honorary doctorates that aren’t celebrities in my community, but they have put in 10-20 years of actual activism working with Black youths and the homeless.

I’ve never understood honorary degrees. They’re literally giving out doctorates to people who didn’t put in the rigorous work required for the degree and some of them walk around acting like they’re more accomplished than everyone else.
