Every single thing JD Vance says about the Young Republicans should follow him to the end of his career. This time: the leaker is a scumbag, the 30-something hate mongers are 21-year-old kids

Hi @we-are-toast.bsky.social - Even if the FCC had some kind of jurisdiction over cable, Fox News meets the requirements of the FD right now. They would need to change literally nothing.

At one time in my life I wouldn't donate to fundraisers if I only had a little to give. It seemed too small to make a difference so why bother? Now I know that goals get achieved when LOTS of people give those small amounts! Let's smash this hay drive one $8 bale at a time. 🍂

Well, shall we bunt?

Yes, let's bunt.

They do not bunt.

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”
Amazing that he thinks blocking would accomplish anything that unfollowing wouldn't. Why do people follow others who make them angry or whose work they consider clutter?

Reading the original report, I wonder how Collins is mentally. I would hope she's more aware than someone like Feinstein or Norton, but she's usually smarter than this, even if she lacks any particular courage.

When one focuses on religion and faith, one necessarily comments on politics (at least in a Christian perspective._
I understand what you're getting at in your comment above the one you replied to, but I think that's an incorrect description of the law.
Who would judge whether to prosecute RFK? Who would have judged whether to prosecute Trump's Ivermectin claim or Obama's "You can keep your insurance" or Bush's "Mission Accomplished?" (IDK whether there is an executive equivalent of a Speech and Debate clause, but if there is that makes it harder.)
Your suggestion is that Donald Trump should have the legal authority to punish people he deems to be lying. Am I understanding you correctly?

I’m not saying that the Washpost’s new Opinion editor was sent on a mission destroy that section’s reputation.

I’m just saying that if someone were sent to destroy the Opinion section’s reputation, they’d be doing exactly what this guy is doing.
I spent more than a decade at The Post. It was good to me and I was proud to work there. I’ve largely refrained from being critical since I left. But this framing of the special counsel probe is embarrassing and flatly wrong. Stunning, but not. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

Local coverage of IL v. Trump here.
Standing by this morning, waiting for Judge Perry’s courtroom to open for arguments today in Illinois v Trump.

Doors should open in 30 minutes or so.
National Guard troops could hit Chicago streets as soon as Tuesday after a judge refused Illinois attorneys' plea to immediately block a deployment called “illegal, dangerous and unconstitutional.”
