ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

BIG result, folks:

Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was ground zero for the conservative takeover of school boards & anti-LGBTQ policies in 2021, on the Central Bucks and Pennridge boards.

Dems flipped both boards back in 2023.

Tonight, Dems have ousted *all* Republicans from both school boards.

i wouldn't be a total glenn youngkin hater if i didn't mention that the results tonight mean that his total tenure amounted to presiding over the destruction — at least for the next few years — of the virginia republican party. lmao.

Pains me to say it but I think this is true. Some of my colleagues in the media who’ve stayed on X don’t even realize how badly its noxious algorithm is skewing their perception of politics and reality.

Also, that place seems designed to make you miserable unless you’re a Nazi. It’s just wretched.
Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

Oh we will not forget who bent the knee.
Democrats won big. If it holds through 2028, it's going to be interesting to watch all the tech giants pretend they're not a bunch of MAGA fascists.

This is why Chuck has NO REASON to come back to the table. Let them twist. If you're coming back with wins this big during a shutdown, the people know where their bread is buttered. Don't throw them a lifeline. These aren't tiny margin wins. They're blowouts.

These elections really should be easy Republican wins since Trump said his approval ratings are at record highs, prices are down, he’s ended 29 wars, there is no inflation, nobody likes Democrats, and everything is better than it has ever been before.

the democratic party’s basic problem is it has almost no control over how its message reaches the ears of voters, especially outside of presidential election years. but rather than devote serious time, attention and cash to that problem its consultants and pundits want to fight factional battles

Consider how few anecdotes it took for the media to declare a Free Speech on Campus crisis.

Every day we get more evidence that the Republican Party is teeming with white supremacists yet elite institutions refuse to frame this as a crisis that needs the nation’s attention.

Here is some material Bari Weiss published regarding Covid.

So when anyone defends her in any way, what they are saying is that real world victims of medical disinformation don’t matter.

It’s all just a game to these pundits.

It really can't be said enough: the goal of the "anti-woke" movement was always to destroy social norms against bigotry. And it worked. And there's a whole lot of purportedly "left" thinkers & commentators who helped it -- indeed, it couldn't have been done without them.

They should feel bad.

A striking thing about articles I’ve read claiming to “study the effects” of generative AI on student writing skills and consumption of information is that (1) they nearly always find the effects are negative and (2) most “conclusions” are still written assuming that we must use AI, for some reason.

But that is precisely the situation right now according to SCOTUS itself. They are constantly deciding major issues via the shadow docket, without any reasoning or final order, to ensure those rulings are *not* legally binding and can be reversed whenever they feel like it. That is illegitimate.

DAILY DEMS DOING THE WORK, MAKING NOISE, AND FIGHTING BACK Day 256

It’s nice watching people amplifying more and more Dems fighting back, but I still get comments asking why they aren’t talking about this thing or that thing, and I just sight and say “they are, it’s just not being amplified.

Portland is ... right there. It's a real place. People live in it. People can go look at it. You could call someone there right now.
