Tigers are ambush predators. In dense green jungles, they stalk silently and invisibly on padded feet, leaping only when it's too late for the prey animal to escape.

So why the heck are they bright orange?

At the time we were members and took advantage of evening opening as one of the perks. The tigers there always proved elusive during the day, but in the early summer evening, they seemed to come out of hiding."

I built an AI model that writes haunting sci-fi novels in which a vast and unknowable alien other produces seemingly-real replicas of your lost loved ones, just as you remember them but also hollow, since we cannot know the alien other if we do not know ourselves. I call the model 'Stanislaw LLM'

Looking for something to watch on HBO and I'm halfway through the pilot of _Boardwalk Empire_. I don't think I'll stick with it, but there's a billboard on the boardwalk advertising tootsie rolls with nuts. That seems much better than the tootsie rolls we ended up with

To underscore how dangerous this is, it has been well established, probably since at least Keyishian in 1967, that principles of academic freedom required that the speech of public university professors not be considered the speech of the state. We're told at the beginning of the dialogue that Plato isn't there. The story I picked up somewhere is that the figure at the foot of the bed is the elderly Plato reflecting on the death of Socrates decades earlier
