I forgot that one. Was struck by the guy who bragged about his UoA science degree and went full climate denier. Was thinking we might need to call him in for a tune-up.

(The climate guy was angry about not killing enough people on the roads, too)

Some days being a theoretical physicist is like being a trapeze artist and then a guy emails you saying "Hey, I've watched videos about trapeze and I've asked Grok, can I join your circus, because I think I've figured out how to do a quintuple somersault, with a twist..."

Assumed the OP (as a cat lover, given their bio and pic) was joking.

The irony is Wellington local politics have made national news - I couldn't tell you much about Christchurch (and lived there once, albeit long ago) but I can name three or four of Wellington's mayoral candidates.

My dad used to pretend to take "date Russian women" spam seriously - we'd get emails saying things like "I hope you can learn a little Russian to greet you new mummy when she arrives" followed by another saying "just joking".

He stayed sharp to the end but even that was stressful.

Providence, Brown student radio. Did some nice calculations with this playing...

(Which is odd, I suppose, because the song itself would not be high on most people's list of inspo tracks)

I would like to just take a moment to invite you to enjoy Cake's 1996 mega-hit 'The Distance'.

It's likely that you know this song, perhaps even love it. But just take a moment to revel in the utter masterpiece that it is.

Surrender yourself to it.

You deserve it.

Probably depends on your city. A lot of 45 minute car commutes here can balloon out to an hour+ in bad traffic in Auckland -- but less so in Chch I am guessing.

Does have a bit of an "eat out to help out" vibe
