It's not about the snow, that's just an extra challenge, a free workout
;-)
It's about safety, and a coherent bicycle network.
The usual story confirmed once more:
This onderful little video shows a point, that can be applied widely: in the discussion about winter cycling, and a number of similar topics,
-stop talking, it won't really change the car brains
-show videos.

There are some very fine videos about winter cycling from Oulu. And other places.
'non-standard cycles'

"But everyone knows what I mean when I say "bike"!

While that may be true, when we talk about 'bikes' it's easy for many people to forget about those who need to use non-standard cycles such as trikes, recumbents and tandems.
Ironic: the sign, that legitimizes their presence in this area, shows a BIcycle.
;-)
In Danish, 'cykler' can be 2 or 3 wheels. I have used the term 'brede cykler' (wide bikes) to denote anything with more than 2 wheels.
The width of modal filters is often too narrow.

And you are not even adressing the whole field between 'cargo bike' and 'van': There are even 5 wheelers out there!

IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear— it wastes public money to NOT do it.

He is the king.

(A real, law abiding president could not and would not do something like this. Or destroy part of the white house without respecting the institutions involved in protecting it. Or ... etc.)
It's a throne hall. A room where a distinguished audience can honor their great leader.
I've yet to read an argument about "car addiction" that factors in the relevance of the fact that the continental United States covers 3.7 million square miles.

Where do you want to go? And is that possible (or could that be made possible) by rail, bike or other means? That is the issue.
Hvem har sagt det?
Eller, hvem har sagt hvad om det?

Det er jo en giftig historie, hvis den er sand. Men altså,

"Kommentatorer mener at vide, at ... "??
Very hard to find documentation of what happened?
Is that part of the concept?

Oh wow. If I had to ride my bike in places like that, I'd put a nasty truck horn on it.

More generally, you need a high kerb or a strip of high grass between you and these monsters. Or ask yourself, is there actually any good reason that the bike path should follow the road?
Somebody should calculate the total loss for society of all these damaged cars (economy, environment, climate, trade balance ....)
Who are the real 'fools' here?
Hvad tænkte de på? Og hvordan? De har sikkert været inspireret af materiale som den her lille bog om "Tyrannus Mobilitis"

As if designed by a 12 year old victim of all sorts of abuse, neglect and violence.
"Someday I'm gonna show them ... "
Even if only for the benefit of the fools - a lot of fools, apparently - why not build a floating bridge?
Paint the ceiling, change the lights: this could very easily come closer to the 2025 design.
I just stumbled upon a city planner's story of "Going Car-Free".
First chapter of Mark R. Brown's book Human Speed:

To me, a Dane who rejected a license 50 years ago, this sounds a bit like the story of a recovering addict ;-) Recommended for car addicts

Human Speed (First Chapter)
I’m pleased to present the first chapter of Human Speed, now available on Amazon. It’s the story of how I became car free, and how it changed my perspective on city planning, transportation, and life.

Please note: the bicycles came first. The real 'disruptive technology' was the car, with its tendency to monopolize the roads.
Early film recordings from city streets (>100 years old) show mainly pedestrians, cyclists and trams, sharing the space in a soft chaos with a few horse wagons and cars.
Never reinforce a notion of conflict. The issue is not 'defeating' the individual motorist. (And you represent the weak minority.)
Show them stories about people in Paris, Amsterdam etc., laughing over the car brains and the cities where you are helpless without a car.
Edinger is a fine example.
'And as with any disruptive technology, as the use of bicycles rises, and cities do more to make riding them pleasant, bikes are polarising people and setting off culture wars.'
-
There may be a conflict about how to understand bikes, cities and mobility.
But bikes ARE BEING USED for 'culture wars'.
