For virtually every other political subculture in existence, it's an absolute layup to say, "Hey, yeah, we shouldn't talk that way. These guys don't represent us." For this set, though, the freedom to fulsomely dehumanize nonwhites is as non-negotiable as it gets.

Fundamentally every ending to ME3 asks you to concede that the Reapers are a bad solution to a real problem & propose an alternate solution to that problem. But the entire story up to that point was one long argument that the problem wasn't real except insofar as the Reapers caused it on purpose
