Just dropping this for reference. Right now in the United States, every stage is active to some level against transgender people. Gender critical people internationally are pro-genocide.

TEN STAGES OF GENOCIDE

1 Classification: People are divided into "us and them."
2 Symbolization: People are forced to identify themselves.
3 Discrimination: People begin to face systematic discrimination.

4 Dehumanization: People equated with animals, vermin, or diseases.
5 Organization: The government creates specific groups (police/military) to enforce the policies.
6 Polarization: The government broadcasts propaganda to turn the populace against the group.

7 Preparation: Official action to remove/relocate people.
8 Persecution: Beginning of murders, theft of property, trial massacres.
9 Extermination: Wholesale elimination of the group. It is "extermination" and not murder because the people are not considered human.
10 Denial: The government denies that it has committed any crime

One of the most pernicious cissexual myths is that **trans ppl** are obsessed w gender when the average cis woman would never think of wearing a bow tie and the average cis man gets angry if he has to drink out of a coffee cup w too many dainty flowers glazed on it.

Glad to see the "Chicago rat hole" (rodent-body imprint) of January 2024 Internet fame was studied more, but just to add my $0.02: Many folks missed the tracks leading away from the body imprint, meaning the squirrel (not rat) fell & splatted in wet concrete, but then walked it off. 🧪🐿️🐾

We've been warning them, they ignore us, now it's nearing our time to rest because of how vulnerable we are. Not disappear, just purely prioritize ourselves because they failed to support us. Like black women sat out protests during the first no-kings protests. We failed them. They deserve rest.

Pritzker is better than most, but let's see what Pritzker does in the following days and weeks.

The law and politics work slowly to stop oppression, and quickly to enact it.

When we take back the USA, we should drive that trend in the opposite direction in every way we can.

The deepest of hopes in me is that Pritzker will stand up and push back in a more meaningful way, however being painfully aware of the history of this country reminds me that people born into generational wealth will always assume the system will work, when in reality the system will not fix this.

The real concern isn't how Pritzker acted regarding the state troops. The real concern is exactly what comes next. Will court orders be ignored (almost certainly will and already are) and how Pritzker will respond next when the courts are ignored. We are mid-process in this, and it takes time.

These are in efforts to rely on what tattered ruins of the Constitution and the courts are left. A Hail Mary. Last ditch effort. Which, given our history, is a reasonable escalation that is far from ideal but given a choice between violent military occupation and this... It's definitely reasonable.
