Israel is retaining control of 58% of the Gaza Strip, including the majority of its farmland in eastern Gaza.

Western Gaza was largely built on top of sand dunes, as you can see from the aerial image in the post below.

This aerial image from the 1960s shows that the 'yellow line' of Israel's redeployment in Gaza is roughly matching with the border of the area's coastal sand dune, leaving Gaza without the absolute majority of its agricultural areas on the fertile soils in the east.

Israeli captives hold phone conversations with their families from inside captivity

The resistance allowed the Israeli captives to contact their families from inside captivity in the Gaza Strip before their release. The first phone call was made by the son of the most prominent woman in the Israeli entity, Matan's mother, who protested daily against Netanyahu and his government, demanding a prisoner exchange deal and his release.

So far, seven Israeli captives have been released, with a second group of ten more captives to be released in an hour.
