I'm not one for false optimism. But what I witnessed today in Minneapolis was tremendous, both in scale and exuberance. It was a stunning answer to the federal assault on Minnesota, a show of solidarity that gives us something to hold on to during times that are unforgiving.

ICE has detained children as young as five, including this little boy, Liam.

No 5-year-old makes us unsafe. Targeting children - our babies - is beyond the pale.

The union representing Portland State’s faculty is fighting the cuts, and an arbitrator last month ordered the university to reinstate most of those laid off. The university initially refused … but last week…it reinstated 10 faculty members. @psuaaup.bsky.social
