This is huge news!
UBC has developed an enzyme that can convert donor organs to type O, making them universal.
Normally a using organs of the wrong blood type causes the recipient's immune system to attack the organ, leading to failure.

I'm okay with it (I was also there). I didn't much care for '80s culture outside of a handful of artists/filmmakers while it was actually still the '80s, and I find a lot of the retrospective lauding of that period now is of a similar character to the hagiographic treatment of Reagan himself.
