Pancreatic cancer has a very high mortality rate. 90% die within a year of being diagnosed. Early detection doesn't change that. Im grateful that wasn't the case for me. I had just been hitting the creatine too hard. But it's scary to know it is THAT fast and nothing you can do to change it

Summer '24 my lipase numbers came back WAY off. Combined with some other symptoms, the doc thought i had pancreatitis. After testing me for just about everything, they couldn't find the problem. @lontier.blacksky.app and i were quietly preparing for the worst and that worst was an 11% survival rate

I think the most. . . boiled down thought I've ever had about death came to me at 8 yrs old when I found out my cousin died.

At 8, all I could think was "I thought I would see her again."

And, I realize. . . that's really the whole thing.
