This really worries me as well 😞
I genuinely find this very worrying, as someone with settled status! sure, Lam probably won't be home secretary tomorrow, but the mood music is changing, you can feel it, and I just don't trust Labour to fight like hell on our behalf, so unclear where this is going to go
Lam hears "settled status" and "guaranteed by withdrawal treaty" as up for grabs:understood to be temporary "provisional arrangements" which can be transitional and unsettled if and when you want to

That is highly counterintuitive as language of 'settled', as law & as politics of Treaty guarantees.
Ours has pointy leaves; spikey like me 😂
Mine is starting to bud ; it must be over 45 years old since it was a cutting my mother gave me when I still lived in the Netherlands. It moved country 3 times and house at least double that. It seems to thrive on neglect since we didn't water it the last few weeks; we were away 😊

This is disastrous on multiple levels. We already have a high level of mistrust & people opting out of sharing will hit medical research so hard. I’d also hesitate to encourage people to share their protected characteristics data to monitor equality & diversity because of the plausibility of misuse.
US spy-tech giant Palantir is moving into our NHS to handle patient data, the same company with a troubling record of surveillance and deportations.

Our Tech and Data Lead, Duncan, spoke at Hackney Town Hall as Homerton Hospital considers adopting Palantir software.

What do you think?

On the left, Skys sports correspondent saying that away fans are normally banned when they've caused violence before but "that's not the case here"

On the right, Maccabi 'fans' beating a man unconscious in Athens earlier this year.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Farage has said that Nathan Gill was "one bad apple" - unintentionally being accurate because he forgot the rest of the proverb.

How has the government got itself into the position of standing up for Israeli football hooligans, while criminalising peaceful supporters of Palestine Action?
Reposted by Fellsandlakes
In the UK, we have a government who will complain about peaceful protests taking up valuable police resources while simultaneously complaining that the police shouldn't ban far right football hooligans with a history of violence and disruption from attending a match.
Since you haven't I'd like to point out that the OH is taking this a step forward IRL; he is refusing to cook since we moved because 'I didn't ask the builder to put in an induction hob' 🤔

The British government has lost its attempt to stop Palestine Action fighting against the decision to ban it as a terrorist organisation by way of a full High Court judicial review

The Court of Appeal also granted permission for Palestine Action to bring its challenge on wider legal grounds

Thank you.

But we can be in a position as a country where we look at fans history of behaviour and judge whether it is safe to have them there and under what conditions. Being Israeli doesn’t change that calculus
