it costs $0 to be kind, to compliment someone, to help someone. if you can do something nice for someone you can just go ahead and do it. you’ll both be better for it.
i've still never seen this, and it's showing next week at a theater here. considering going to it but my schedule is tight.
absolutely terrifying that this is happening at all, and especially in our generally left-leaning city that is full of amazing people, including so many (recent) immigrants

i don't care if you're here "legally", you fucking belong here as much as anyone and these fascists deserve to die
This is Chicago, armed fascist thugs pointing guns at unarmed US citizens.

Photo by Anthony Vazquez at the Chicago Sun-Times.
Armed officers in military-style gear confront a group of civilians during a tense outdoor standoff; one officer points a rifle at a young man who raises his hands defensively while others shout in the background, with trees and houses visible behind them.

that's how i feel about moving records. like, really? i either have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on crates, or use cardboard boxes that can barely hold the weight? can we go back to cheap milk crates or something?
got to see this earlier in the year at Terror Tuesday and can confirm that it absolutely rules
1970s Eurohorror recommendation day #14 - Horror Express (1972) A film staring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee that's not a Hammer movie? Yup! This Spanish/British co-production is a real treat and it's a lot of fun to watch the two brilliant actors and friends trade barbs. A great monster movie!
Two men are pictured, Peter Cushing on the left and Christopher Lee to the right.
