Spooky-ooky queer woman. Storyteller of Vampire the Masquerade and other ghoulish things. Obsessed with classic horror movies. I want to live in a crypt. Normal human and totally not a vampire.

Hay there! I'm Abendroth, a huge fan of Vampire The Masquerade and a storyteller with big ambitions. I also like other dark ttrpg's like CoC and Blades. I love writting and talking about writing! My nerd superpower is an encyclopedic knowledge of classic monster movies. 🦇
A woman in her 40s with long black hair and dark eye makeup. He is wearing plum colored lip gloss, and her septum and lip are pierced. She's a little spooky.

Tomorrow I'm running the second test of my VtM one-shot! This will be with my other group which is composed of younger people who might not get all the 1980s heavy metal references and jokes packed into the story. Hopefully they still like it!
Introduction - Greetings and thank you for your interest in “Blood Orgy!”, a Vampire The Masquerade Fifth Edition module intended for one storyteller and two to six players.

I about lost it when those crabs started talking
abendroth.bsky.social
I'm so happy that you're here!
abendroth.bsky.social
No worries! It's a great example of late Eurohorror

Oooo good idea, but I think that's one for next year. Like a mini retrospective on classic horror stars and their best films or something more in depth.

I don't think I'll make it to Halloween with my 1970s Eurohorror countdown as I'm starting to run outta movies I've seen. I should make a back up plan, like do something else for the last week or something.

Yes Hunchback of The Morgue! That would make for a good double feature with this one since it's Nashy playing characters other than Waldemar Daninsky. But anyways yeah I can absolutely recommend it it's good sleezy fun
abendroth.bsky.social
Ah got it, no I've never seen those, probably because no monster. (I tend to hyper focus on monster movies.) Still, I love Nashy so I'll put them on my bucket list!
abendroth.bsky.social
Wait, I'm confused. I think that you may be thinking of the wrong director?

1970s Eurohorror recommendation day #15 Horror Rises from the Tomb (1973) One of Paul Nashy's best films, this is Eurohorror at its best, bloody, erotic and sleezy. Nashy plays the evil warlock as well as his descendant who unwittingly brings the bastard back from the dead. A great grindhouse flick
A Warlock and his evil Witch concubine are pictured here! They have 1970s euro sleeze written all over their faces.
abendroth.bsky.social
Doh! Well fuck that then I'm not getting any older in that case unless they pay me
abendroth.bsky.social
How old do I have to be to be before I'm officially a "trans elder?" I wanna know when those fat paychecks start rolling in

1970s Eurohorror recommendation day #14 - Horror Express (1972) A film staring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee that's not a Hammer movie? Yup! This Spanish/British co-production is a real treat and it's a lot of fun to watch the two brilliant actors and friends trade barbs. A great monster movie!
Two men are pictured, Peter Cushing on the left and Christopher Lee to the right.

Just woke up from a dream and it had a perticuler element to it thats kinda weird. I will occasionally dream about a space based MMO where you're on the ship the whole time that requires its own special console to play. It's just strange to me that it'll pop up in a dream now and again.

I remember that one! Still have no idea what it was about but box art/poster art like that is so apart of the era. Also some of the art on the direct to VHS flicks from back then looked waaaay better than they had any right to
abendroth.bsky.social
Yeah Dark Night of the Scarecrow is sooo good but if you want yer scarecrows a bit more lively then Scarecrows is where it's at. As an aside, when I was a kid there was a copy of Scarecrows at the local Mom and Pop video rental, high up on a shelf in an oversized display box I always wanted to see
abendroth.bsky.social
I seem to remember finding that one entertaining. Really bad but entertaining
abendroth.bsky.social
Ah, mabey I was taken in by one of them.

It's raining in San Diego! I actually took off a little early from work so I could make it home before traffic got bad. I just got out of the tub and now I'm watching the rain fall with its fresh, wonderful rain smell

I've always described him as one of those predatory used car salesman who sets up his business right outside a military base
abendroth.bsky.social
The one I saw was of wild animals lured in by the scent of candy getting the hell scared out of them. They were just hungry and hoping for a meal, they didn't do anything wrong. Great now I'm fucking crying at work that's just dandy
abendroth.bsky.social
The "Animals terrified by Halloween decorations" videos making the rounds are actually pretty sick and not funny at all.

That mother fucker. For those of you outside of California who've yet to be constantly disappointed by this piece of shit, Gavin Newsom is a lothsome man who doesn't deserve to hold office.

1. Yesterday, the press gave Gavin Newsom favorable coverage for signing pro-LGBTQ+ bills.

Little noticed, however, was that he vetoed one of the most important ones: a bill allowing trans people 12 month HRT stockpiles, protecting them from federal threats.

Gavin Newsom Vetoes Important HRT Stockpiling Bill For Trans Californians, Signs Other Pro-LGBTQ+ Bills
The bill would have allowed transgender people to maintain a safe supply of medication in the era of government crackdowns on care.
