I believe we are ALL better off when EVERYONE has housing, healthcare, food, and education. If you're fond of punching down - especially when it comes to blaming voters/non-voters - you probably shouldn't follow me. Thanks! Sorry, can't afford to donate.

🟢 New Press Statement - Hamas:
—
The horrific scenes visible on the bodies of the martyrs returned by the occupation, bearing marks of torture, abuse, and field executions, clearly reveal the criminal and fascist nature of the occupation army and the moral and human decadence this entity has reached, which doesn't differentiate in its aggression between the living and the dead of our people. As such, this constitutes a heinous crime that rises to the level of genocide against our Palestinian people.

We call upon international rights groups, foremost among them the UN and the Human Rights Council, to document these atrocious crimes, open an urgent and comprehensive investigation into them, and bring the occupation leaders to trial before relevant international courts, as they are responsible for committing unprecedented crimes against humanity in our modern history.

This must be on the front page of every newspaper.
It must be on every TV screen.

This is one of the Palestinian bodies held hostage by Israel, returned through the International Committee of the Red Cross.

This is one of the people CNN referred to, only as “deceased.”

He was blindfolded, handcuffed, and hanged.

This describes so many people in my life
Izunyan, a fashionable cat-like fairy who enjoys changing clothes and eating mandarin oranges, is the mascot for Izumiya Shopping Center in Osaka.

ben-gvir one of the most reliable guys for getting me to think about this dynamic
every time I listen to what israeli politicians commanders etc are actually saying they are like "we are genociding these people, and it's great, except we need to kill more quickly, especially the children." every time I read the NYT it's like "israel's muscular security stance has drawn criticism"

"Pro-Israel media fought a shameful war to obscure the extent of the Israeli genocide. Ordinary people, powerfully amplified by countless social media platforms, collectively fought back. They defeated a mainstream propaganda machine that served for decades as the primary defense line for Israel."

‼️ this is one of the reasons why the Musk shutdown of USAID broke me, like

Congress said 'we're allocating these funds to save lives'

a random asshole with too much money and unresolved bitterness about the end of Apartheid said 'no you're not'

so the funding disappeared??

and people are dying??
There's literally no reason for Congress to exist if any random freak in the presidential orbit can nullify laws and seize federal funds. All of this is plainly illegal, but Mike Johnson leads the most corrupt Congress in US history (and by a wide margin.)

I have been clear about Palestinian liberation for a long time. I wrote this in Harper’s Bazaar in 2017: “The occupation of Palestine harms Palestinian women—period. If Zionism is harmful to some women, then it cannot, at any point, be considered a feminist commitment.” Play with somebody else.
If Your Beliefs Are Oppressive, You Are Not a Feminist
“Everything a woman does is not inherently feminist because she deems it so."

2/ Anyone who pays bail after being arrested for a criminal charge is being taken. People showing up to court are being taken. People with cases about to go to trial are being taken. People who violate their probation are being taken. ICE's respect for state cops and prosecutors remains nonexistent
PUMAs especially.

Very sad to see NBC Out go down. I know journalists who have worked there and it was home to some of the best in depth reporting on LGBTQ+ issues out there from a legacy media outlet.

Legacy media continues to abandon us, and it seems only we can tell our own stories these days.
Breaking: NBC fires teams of journalists focused on marginalized communities, axing NBC Out & NBC BLK staff
NBC News has fired journalists who reported on Black, Latino, Asian and LGBTQ+ communities.

We have free copies for anyone in prison in the United States or Canada.
Thanks to @equalityalec.bsky.social for copies of "Copaganda," which shows the role media, security forces, universities and "liberal" politicians have in growing the security state and ensuring unequal justice. We'll send these to the prison book clubs we support and fulfill individual requests.

Die Pest (1898)

Kunstmuseum Basel
