You’re right, it JUST has various other personally identifying federal metadata that can verify and provide access into more sensitive personally-identifying information beyond just compromised emails. But yes please explain why hijacked SSA data is harmless because your Gmail isn’t in there.

I’m not the first to have these thoughts and certainly not the only one articulating them. but it’s very easy to forget how the tens of thousands of people who never experienced a countervailing narrative growing up. Who do not instinctively recognize bigotry might actually be destructive!!

I keep thinking about generational Americans racism - not just as a belief but because for so many (older, majority white) people it’s part of their personal history and family rituals. Younger generations rejecting bigotry is a rejection of family and home to the racist uncles of the nation

The “Charlie Kirk’s Murderers” guys who got in actual legal trouble for doxxing lefties were explicitly doing this, farming compromised accounts across breach lists for the purposes of breaking into peoples’ accounts and finding information that would facilitate physical harm

It’s trivially easy to run compromised user emails through pwned lists and correlate those to known passwords. You’re right that it’s not done on a whim, it’s a well oiled machine operating with the explicit goal of identifying someone and harming them physically

Since I got doxxed, it appears the same doxxing ring has targeted several other users. I learned that they were banned this week, only for Elon to, apparently, personally unban them. I feel obliged to warn everyone about my experience.

It wasn't just my personal information that got published. Someone, somewhere, got my passwords too. For my banking accounts, brokerage accounts, venmo, etc.
Most of which had different and unique passwords. All these attempts started the day i got doxxed, and have sporadically continued since.

If you know anyone who's been doxxed by this group, you need to have them change all their passwords on every website immediately. Ensure 2FA and any other security measures are in place everywhere.
And, wherever possible, document and report it. Frankly, if you're a lefty of any note, do it now too

If anyone was also a victim of this or knows someone who was, there are ways to reach me. I wish I could go into more details right now. But until that time comes, protect yourself.

I will be deactivating in 20 minutes.
Hopefully, that's enough time for the warning to get out.

Clearly there are Americans who believe removing “non-americans” by force is not only legal but necessary. Who believe constitutional protections only belong to Americans who “have earned” them.
