I read a *lot* of news through a large number of sources, I'm online a lot, and there were still bits of debunking in that Oliver piece I'd never seen, especially information that emerged months after the FP pieces had been published. Lies are fast, truth is slow, and conservatives know it.

That's what makes Weiss genuinely dangerous and not a mere joke helming CBS News. The people who still watch legacy media news are probably *not* the people who get news through a broad array of outlets that will tell them they're seeing lies.

What jumped out at me watching this is that the piece draws on local news broadcasts and publications, science journals, major media outlets - an array of sources - to debunk Bari Weiss and Olivia Reingold's shameless, disgusting lies about children.

A big takeaway if you watch this all the way through is that it's so much easier to lie than tell the truth, and it takes time and effort to eradicate the lies. And conservatives know it, and have known it for years.

Was waiting to see how Olivia Reingold (who Oliver's piece destroyed almost as much as Bari Weiss) would respond, and you can see the tweet below which also shows she either did not watch his piece, or just didn't understand it, since he actually addresses this point directly.
