And maybe for some people there is just an inherent hatred to people that are different. But for me, I'm noticing how often that gut sense of "god what is their deal" is more like the feeling I get watching a tv show or movie where I'm going "oh no why did they do that now everyone will be mad"

I think about this meme regularly with regards to this. How I think that there's a gut level sense of "oh no they haven't learned that they're going to bed in trouble for this" that gets twisted into "god they're being cringe/ridiculous/annoying/etc"

As I'm learning unmasking and being truer to myself and unearthing the parts I've buried I'm realizing how much that sort of "intrinsically annoyed at the way another person is existing" feeling can often be a fear response of "they're doing something I've internalized as dangerous"

I was sick for so long before 90% of my friends noticed. Like a year and a half. Would’ve gone even longer if I hadn’t had to explain my absence from a college reunion. “Uh yeah so I’ve been too sick to leave the house for 18 months…” People were shocked. I was shocked it was so easy to disappear.

Al Jazeera is doing videos of the Palestinian releases and they're heart wrenching. One man was detained for over a year and was released to find out that Israel had killed his two kids. The youngest was three. Her birthday would've been on Saturday. He'd made a small bracelet for her in prison.

- bombed Khan Younis
- shot and killed five Palestinians in Gaza City
- refused to open the Rafah border crossing
- announced they would once more block aid

This is what a "ceasefire" with Israel looks like. This is what it has always looked like.
