Salvation Army seen feeding ICE today. For anyone who doesn't already know about their bigotry, here is more, No need to give them your money this Christmas, or ever.
It’s dinner time for the police. Appears to be pizza from a Salvation Army van.

Broadview’s “free speech” curfew starts soon, at 6pm.
Pining for that liminal existence we had when we left the house and didn't have cell phones.
Been writing poems, which is cool.

Asemic lines of text in three colors on pulpy paper. One of the Passages by Annalisa Retico.
Real sick of you so-called artists cedeing territory to brainlessness. Talk of the circulatory, but certainly not circulation of the mind. Pass.

Look. Invading our own country is about as straightforward a case as you can have for impeachment. The GOP abandoning the Constitution is kind of the only story there is and it gets no coverage.
Guys. I just had a crazy idea. What if the President DIDN’T deploy troops in American cities. Just a thought. Have we tried that before?

there's a deliberate misreading of what violence is by bsky leadership—saying words that feature hyperbolic violence is *more* violent than saying "respectful sounding" words that lead to actual, off site violence. And it's not just bsky, this is societally pervasive rn. It sucks.

“AI” isn’t a tool or technology or even a cluster of technologies with a misleading name. It’s the infrastructure at the foundation of a form of capitalism dependent on data brokering. We should be teaching our students about this and not teaching them about “responsible” use.

Live footage of the Siege of Portland.
A silent, inter-faith march near the ICE detention center in Portland, Oregon.

The marchers held flowers. 💐

Every single one of these clips was taken today in downtown Portland. Portland doesn’t want or need a federal takeover. If Trump insists on sending federal “resources” he can start with funding health care, bridges, affordable housing, and wildfire protection to name a few.
Doors Open Milwaukee. Got to see the Frank Lloyd Wright church.
A frosted glass figure in a medieval byzantine style, dressed in a fine robe, resting one hand on a sword. Art from the annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Milwaukee, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Summer 2024, freshly doctored, I had no idea what was next. Between applications and anticipation, I made some asemic things. Thanks to Drew @ #Ranger magazine for finding them interesting.

Solidarity to every poet who finally figured out what that poem needed, and is now tempted to yank the previous version from submission queues.

(don't do it, that confuses editors and readers, just wait -- )
I like those moments when Bugs Bunny lets the plucky wiseass facade slide, shouting things like "YOU FOOLS" and reminding us he is in fact an old, capricious trickster god capable of great wrath and fury toward the rash, brief mortals that dare cross him.
