This sentiment, the "we do not demobilize" is what this campaign needs to preach from here on out. Getting the work done is going to require EFFORT. Taking the campaign's infrastructure and applying it to advocacy and political pressure will be crucial - mobilization is the right word.

This should be a reminder to continue being extremely annoying to shitty politicians until they actually do helpful things. If we are mad enough and loud enough and there's enough people doing it change can happen.

Its important to note that he only did this cause of pressure, he personally does not care about trans people. Like many politicians Newsom is rather spineless, if you pressure him hard enough he will do some good things. Also as Tilly pointed out in a reply he veto'ed some other ones.

+ The way "hostages" is applied to Israelis hostages but not to Palestinians when the same articles admit "vast majority of Palestinian prisoners were held without charge" which reads to me like they were hostages, too.

Very jarring how the media treats some lives as inherently and others not.

I am happy for hostages and their families to be reunited, but it’s shocking how little media attention is given to “how do Gazans grapple with the utter destruction of their homes, vast loss of lives, and ongoing famine.”

it's kinda weird that all the software i am expected to use for work are all written by distributed teams, go, python, postgres, linux, chrome, k8s etc

and despite being told "the best teams work in an office together" i don't know of any software i use that's actually written that way

Like for 2 different productions recently I was cast in 2 roles for each, one a man one a woman in both cases. All 4 of them interest me as a performer, but gender wasnt really a big part of my decisions besides one of them because the characters story is about gender in a aay that interests me.
