I wrote this in 2023 and two of the three gutter racists featured herein have been fully rehabilitated in right-wing circles. (One works for a U.S. senator!)

The Young Republicans institutionally denounced the Hitler-praising, ferociously antisemitic and virulently racist messages in their leaders’ group chats, calling for resignations.

The VP of the US says it’s “pearl clutching” to care and changes the subject.

If you were an admin or member of one of the Facebook groups that the DOJ jawboned Facebook into censoring, we want to talk to you!

The wave of violence against ICE has been driven by online apps and
social media campaigns designed to put ICE officers at risk just for doing
their jobs. The Departrnent of Justice will continue engaging tech
companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent
violence against federal law enforcernent.

I seem to recall that it was the biggest 1st Amendment attack in American history when the Biden admin alerted social media companies to some content and said "hey does this violate your policies?" Will Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger and (lol) CBS News Editor in Chief Bari Weiss call this out?

Non-zero chance that at least a few Jan. 6 insurrectionists received presidential pardons and now work as part of the president's lawless, masked secret police force.

NEW: I took a long look at the Proud Boys and found some of their most extreme chapters are sharing ICE recruiting materials on encrypted apps and even suggesting members have joined up. talkingpointsmemo.com/news/in-the-...

Trump already gave so many of us jobs with ICE. We may have to start recruiting soon to fill all these spots.

A lot of the J6 groups came down, btw, based on FB's own calls, because of calls for violence within those groups. That got reframed as "anti-conservative censorship".

What apparently happened here is that Laura Loomer got upset about some groups she thought needed to come down & DOJ made requests.

I'm sorry, is the Trump Administration talking to a tech platform?

Is it...requesting content moderation?

- It is legal to organize and fund protest.
- That someone organizes and funds promotion of a protest does not mean most, some, or any protesters are paid.
- Even if all protesters are paid, that is also legal
- It is good to oppose kings and fascism
- That's not what what "begs the question" means

"A video appeared to show several masked gunmen, some of them wearing green headbands resembling ones worn by Hamas, shooting with machine guns at least seven men after forcing them to kneel in the street...spectators cheered 'Allah Akbar,' or God is Great, and called those killed 'collaborators.'"
Hamas deploys fighters as hostages released, in show of strength
Hamas deployed fighters in Gaza on Monday as a release of hostages seized in the October 7 attacks was under way, Reuters footage showed, in an apparent show of strength by the militant group which President Donald Trump says must disarm.

The alt-right won.

Steven Miller is in the White House, the administration is making segregation great again, their “intellectuals” are hanging out with Atlantic authors, and secret police are kidnapping brown kids.

This is the future they hoped for.

The place was historically horrible enough to be called "the Tombs" but it still doesn't deserve to be named after Bernie Kerik.

"Kerik's professional biography is long, fascinating, and so chock-a-block with outrageous and alarming episodes of moral failure that his life takes on a sort of mythic scale, a tall tale of rolling skullduggery." - @nickpinto.bsky.social

Ben Shapiro and other MAGA elites are *shocked* that the gutter racists they allied with during the War on Wokeness are also antisemites.

But instead of reflecting on their own culpability and gullibility — they're inventing phrases like "woke right" and "conspiratorial right."

Media framing the Gaza deal and other international affairs around Trump’s quest for the Nobel peace prize highlights how much news and public discourse have become warped around one man’s pathologies.

Whether he gets praise is one of the least important thing about this.

Me, in @msnbc.com:
Opinion | Trump’s Nobel peace prize campaign is the least important part of the Gaza deal
If the ceasefire holds, the administration deserves much credit. But the fixation on Trump getting a prize distracts from things that actually matter.
