I will say their bike racks are GREAT though. Unlike the City of Ottawa which seems to think you can successfully combine public art and a functional bike rack (you cannot)

Anything becomes justifiable when you prioritize a "we" above anything else. In less than a year, resurgent Canadian nationalism has enabled an attempt to reshape the whole of Canadian society through extreme militarization.

Beck and Carignan pointed out that the plan would require a Whole of Society or WoS effort, meaning that all Canadians would have to contribute to the initiative.

Today, common people from Penha entered the woods on one side of the mountain. The region is called Pedreira, as it is an inactive quarry.

They found 60+ dead bodies. Some with clear marks of torture. A beheaded young male. Most shot in the back and in the head.

The total count is between 121-128+

Report from 🇨🇦: Not in Ontario, but when I moved to British Columbia I was astonished to see people including young children holding humongous open fiery lanterns on a packed street full of flammable cars around Halloween (but I think it was more of a Diwali thing)

My knee problems, which are identical to my dad’s, started when I was 12 and raised on a SUPER healthy diet bc my mom was a dietitian. Healthy food IS beneficial but it simply doesn’t resolve everyone’s musculoskeletal issues; that’s some weird magical thinking.

Yup. Transfers are killers in most systems. Unless you KNOW buses are coming every 5 min they introduce too much uncertainty, and exposure to the weather.

Ugh, 43 and hard same to all of that. I have sacrificed countless tedious hours to physio just so I can minimize—not eliminate— the pain caused by a gentle walk, thanks to my garbage bones. 🦴💀
