OK @themountaingoats.bsky.social … I know art is not a competition, but still a wero (challenge) put down for your Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) show. Anything David Byrne can do, you can do better?

It's only January, but the legendary Talking Heads frontman served Auckland a dazzling display that will go down as one of the year's best.

Dear Winston - I am acting to further the RBNZ's functions under the Reserve Bank Act of NZ Act 2021, ss 10(1)(e)(ii); 10(1)(f)(i) and 10(1)(g) in line with the objective of "protecting and promoting the stability of New Zealand’s financial system". As you're not my Minister ... fuck off.

Holy shit! This is terrible news - it was (hopefully still will be at some point?) a fantastic spot ... not least because of it's reliably excellent playlists. Hope the owner (Emma) is OK.

Good 🧵- I think Dean’s analysis is right that this practice had concretised into a “convention” in constitutional terms. One of the reasons the electoral reform panel I was on thought that a fixed parliamentary term isn’t needed in AoNZ.

I note there’s a reasonably high chance of the High Court deciding that the District Court got this decision wrong as a matter of law, but that for “finality” reasons the outcome must stand and a by-election still be held 😕

Look, this is very much a @dreddieclark.bsky.social or @drdeanknight.bsky.social problem … can the High Court Anisminic the f*ck out of this section? You’ve read Hanna Wilberg - what says you?
